Lunch here is amazing. The beef Manhattan is my favorite, but everything is great. From the service to the awesome bartender. They are fast and friendly. Come say hi. A Terre Haute institution.

A really good lunch is what I was looking for and the Saratoga delivered. My breaded pork tenderloin was hot big chewy crispy good. I always like lettuce, tomato and mustard and added to my sandwich - after I cut meat in half and put half on my sandwich and ate other half bite by bite. Fries were good - wish I got the house made kettle chips. Coworker got those and they were awesome - ended with cheesecake that was pretty darn good.

Great food, excellent prices, the friendliest staff ever, and located right in the heart of Terre Haute- what else do you need? Amazing place, really glad we stopped by

Picked this restaurant completely at random and was very pleased with the meal. Sane proportions, flavorful taste combinations...the salmon with ginger glaze (get it on the side) was incredible. We shared the berry cobler which was rich without being too sweet.

The location itself had a nice cozy yet modern feel to it and a great selection at the bar, but pricy but a selection none the less. The steaks are way over priced for how they cook them. They are not seasoned or marinated in any way so you will need sauce of some kind. Their deserts are worth trying.

Love the food, love the service! George and Kathy are always pleasant and the wait staff is wonderful. The icing on the cake, however, is Don Seybold, the beloved bartender who treats his customers like family, and might even name a drink after you...if the mood strikes him. Great place.

The family dining room is very busy on Saturday nights (and presumably most nights as well) so I'd suggest calling ahead for a reservation. The cheesecakes are incredible, and the owners are the kindest people you could hope to meet. I'm glad to see a family business still thriving, passed down from generation to generation.

CONNECTED LANDMARK Saratoga has for decades been the connected bar and restaurant downtown. Located just east of the Courthouse and south of ISU, you also see a lot of downtown merchants, bankers, realtors, etc. at the Saratoga. The food is respectable and reasonable. The motif is nice for a (third generation?) family owned and operated place. Evenings, it is a bit bright for a bar and restaurant, but maybe that's what regulars want. Politicians like to visit the place when they're in town, so you know its a landmark. Check 'em out. Local businesses help the local economy.

This place is also called Azer's catering, for some reason. You will want a big appetite if you come here. They serve hearty midwestern comfort food. The pie for dessert was a big disappointment. The entrees were certainly filling.

If they have the stewed/baked Kibbeh on special, TRY IT! The regular one on the menu (fried) isn't as amazing, but still tasty. They have a nice array of menu options with a few Syrian dishes sprinkled in. ALWAYS ask what the specials are-- I still dream about a very straightforward, authentic white beans & pork dish I had one Autumn day there once upon a time. Iced Tea: no one knows how to make it (it is supposed to be dark brown & taste like actual tea- you should be able to get ice in it without the ice overpowering the flavor of the tea)... this place knows how to compensate for that hard Terre Haute water when they brew it- I drink my weight in tea every time I go. Nice midwestern diner atmosphere- it's clearly where all the local politicians lunch (which is fun to watch). I come here regularly, when visiting family in Terre Haute & have NEVER had poor service or a bad meal. There is a reason their desserts are on display in the main dining room, they are not to be missed. Berry cobblers are to die for & the house potato chips are perfect.

Super friendly service, somewhat generic decor. The place has been around for 70-some years, but the menu is now so very much like what can be found at almost any other casual restaurant, I am not sure why you would go here. The prime rib sandwich had a nice taste, the salads were fine but skimpy, the fries were seriously undercooked and unseasoned. The menu is very unadventurous and far from what I consider "home cooking" (boneless chicken breasts with various sauces), but it's perfectly acceptable if you find yourself hungry in downtown Terre Haute.

Disappointed. I love a good home-cooking small-town feeling place, but this just wasn't good. I'm fine with dive-y decor, but this place looked like it aspired to be a nice more formal place, and just looked really sad. Waitress was nice and straightforward when asked questions. Food was all just bland. We had spinach & feta flatbread thing with chicken, and a pork tenderloin sandwich - both were really boring. Can't remember what my daughter got - some standard kids-menu fare. The french fries were clearly home-cut and they reminded me of the ones my mom served when I was a kid. They were fine, but my mom was hardly a big chef - just touched a memory more than a taste bud.

Cute Main Street Establishment. Varied menu allows for something for everyone. A pleasant surprise! Everything from chicken salad and burgers to Mediterranean dishes like hummus, gyros and Kirby.
